Glorify God, it lasts forever!

“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has a value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”  1 Timothy 4:8

“we all, with unveiled faces, are reflecting the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit .”   2 Corinthians 2:18

A player crosses the goal line—touchdown. The crowd roars.  But instead of dancing or showboating, he simply hands the ball to the ref and jogs back. Why? Because he knows it’s not about personal glory. It’s about the team—and something bigger.

That kind of humility doesn’t come from the moment; it comes from what’s been cultivated long before. In the same way, our words in the heat of the game—whether encouragement or criticism—reveal what we’ve planted in our hearts.

Jesus said,“Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”  (Luke 6:45). And 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us we are“being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory.”  That transformation starts inside and shows in how we speak, react, and lead.

Train your heart, not just your body.  What overflows in pressure moments will either glorify you—or glorify Christ.

Questions to Ponder:

What is your heart revealing when you speak?  What are some actions we can do to cultivate a heart that Glorifies God?

Prayer: Lord, shape my heart so that my words and actions reflect You.  Grow in me the humility, strength, and grace that glorify You. Amen.
